LAEF welcomes you to the 2016-17 School Year!
The Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF) is a non-profit organization led by parent volunteers that raise funds to provide enrichment programs and smaller class sizes for LASD students. This year's teachers and staff for STEM, PE, libraries, art, music, computer science, and smaller class sizes in grades K-3, are all supported by your 2016-17 tax-deductible LAEF donation.
New this year, LAEF is also funding an Instructional Support Teacher (IST), who is dedicated to supporting our amazing teachers by improving instruction, collaboration, and learning across disciplines, with an initial focus on 6th-8th grade math. The suggested annual donation is $1,200 per student. Our goal is $3.7 million and 100% participation from all of our LASD families, so every gift in any amount is appreciated. Hot Lunch starts the first day of school! Pasta Market, our hot lunch provider, will be offering lunch starting 8/17 this year (with the exception of Kindergarten – hot lunch will be available when their full days begin on September 12)! Popcorn Social Our Annual Popcorn Social returns on Tuesday, August 16th at 3pm at Gardner Bullis. Class lists will be posted on each classroom door. And new this year, students will also be able to meet their teachers and preview their classrooms! Catch up with old friends, make new ones, and get excited about the upcoming school year. The PTA will host popcorn and drinks. |

Back to School Coffee Please join us for our Back to School Coffee, after drop off the first day of school at 8:30 am in the Multi Purpose Room on campus, where you can learn more about school volunteer opportunities and talk to representatives of our after school programs. |

Reminder: Fill out the PTA Back to School Forms! Below is a link to the PTA Back to School Forms, which we hope every family will submit to help the PTA prepare for the school year. In the forms you will find out about school supplies and field trips, how to join the PTA, school volunteer opportunities, ordering Gardner Spirit Wear, joining the Library Birthday Book club, printed school directories, school supplies, field trips, and more. |
