I’m a local girl who went to school here in the LASD and hoped to come back here to teach one day. I attended Oak School and Blach Jr. High. I received my Bachelor’s degree, dual Masters, and 3 teaching credentials from the University of the Pacific. I spent 4 years teaching out of the area, returning to Los Altos to teach after I got married. I love teaching in the district I grew up in. I have spent 39 years teaching grades Kindergarten through 6th, including Special Education, always working to create an environment that is inviting, engaging, and current, making sure that ALL children feel included, valued, and celebrated. I live right here in Los Altos, and have been married for 36 years to my first crush, Ben, and have two terrific kids, Keith (married to Ellen, also a Kinder teacher), and Sarah, both whose love for science and math were nurtured here at LASD, guiding them to seek degrees in science and medicine. I love to travel, read, walk for miles, sing (only in front of small children), go to the theater, bake, cook, spend time with friends and family. I am a life-long learner, and working with our youngest learners in Kindergarten is the most fulfilling experience. Each day, I wake up with a smile, excited to learn and grow with my students.
